Faux or fake wood blinds are made of a material that resembles wood.

Find the back of the slat.
Untie the knots then at the broken slat start pulling the lift cords up through the route holes until you reach the one you re removing.
The slats lay horizontally and can be 1 1 3 8 1 2 or 2 wide.
First remove the plugs located on the bottom side of the bottom rail to reveal the knotted lift cords that run through the route holes on both sides of the blind.
Lift the window blind slats with one hand while you hold the plug in the other hand.
Pull all of the slats and bottom rail all the way up to the head rail with the cords or your hand if cordless.
